Zeigler Ford Parts - Shipping Policy
Where we ship. We ship to all fifty U.S. states, APO/FPO addresses, and U.S. territories. Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and APO/FPO may incur additional freight charges, longer transit times, or carrier restrictions, and are not eligible for expedited service. We do not currently ship internationally.
Order processing time. In-stock orders placed by 2:00 PM Eastern on a business day typically leave our warehouse the same or next business day. Orders placed after that cutoff, on weekends, or on federal holidays begin processing on the next business day. Every online order is reviewed by a parts specialist against the vehicle information you supplied (preferably the 17-digit VIN) before it ships. If we have a fitment question, we will pause the order and contact you - this is the single most common reason an order takes longer than expected to ship.
Special-order and back-ordered parts. Parts identified as special order or out of stock are placed on order with Ford Motor Company and typically ship from our location 3 to 10 business days after the order is received, depending on parts-depot availability. Exact timing is not guaranteed. We will notify you if a part is placed on national back-order.
Shipping methods and carriers. We ship using UPS, FedEx, and USPS for small parcels, and LTL freight carriers (such as FedEx Freight, XPO, Estes, or similar) for oversized or heavy items. The available service levels and rates for your order are calculated at checkout based on weight, dimensions, and destination. Signature on delivery may be added at our discretion for high-value shipments.
Transit times (business days, after the order ships). Ground service to the contiguous 48 states typically arrives in 1 to 5 business days depending on distance from our warehouse. Two-day and overnight options, when offered, deliver in the stated time after the order has been picked up by the carrier - they do not shorten our processing time. LTL freight shipments typically deliver in 3 to 10 business days and require an appointment with the consignee. Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and APO/FPO transit times are longer and vary by carrier.
Shipping charges. Shipping charges shown at checkout are based on carrier rates at the time of purchase. Oversized, heavy, hazardous, or multi-box items may carry additional handling or freight surcharges. Quoted shipping amounts do not include any address-correction, residential, liftgate, or inside-delivery fees that may be added by the carrier after pickup; any such fees billed to us will be billed to you.
Oversized and freight (LTL) items. Larger items - including bumpers, hoods, body panels, tailgates, bed liners, fuel tanks, exhaust systems, and engine and transmission assemblies - typically ship via LTL freight. For these shipments: (a) the carrier will call to schedule a delivery appointment and someone must be present to accept the shipment; (b) delivery is curbside unless liftgate or inside-delivery is selected at an additional cost; (c) you must inspect the freight with the driver before signing the delivery receipt; (d) any visible damage must be noted on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery - a clean signature on a damaged shipment forfeits the freight claim and we are unable to process a replacement at no charge.
Hazardous materials (HAZMAT). Airbags, seat-belt pretensioners, lithium-ion batteries, fluids, paints, chemicals, and certain other items are regulated HAZMAT. They must ship ground, cannot be shipped via air or to APO/FPO addresses, and cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes. Additional HAZMAT handling fees apply and are included in the shipping charge shown at checkout.
Dealer pickup. Local customers may select in-store pickup at checkout where available. You will receive an email when the order is ready. Orders not picked up within fourteen (14) days may be returned to stock and refunded, less any applicable restocking fee.
P.O. Boxes and non-deliverable addresses. Most carriers do not deliver to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or parcel lockers. Orders with these addresses may ship via USPS only if eligible, or will be held for an alternate address. We are not responsible for delays caused by undeliverable address information.
Address accuracy. It is your responsibility to provide a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout. Address changes requested after the order has shipped are subject to carrier fees (typically $18 to $22 per package for small parcel, and materially higher for freight), which will be billed to you. Orders delivered to an address you entered incorrectly at checkout are treated as delivered and are not eligible for a replacement at no charge.
Tracking. A tracking number is emailed to you as soon as the carrier scans the shipment. Please allow up to twenty-four (24) hours after shipment for the tracking record to appear on the carrier's site.
Delivery inspection and damage claims. Inspect every shipment at delivery. For small-parcel shipments, report any damage, shortage, or missing parts to our parts department within five (5) business days of delivery, with photos of the packaging and part. For LTL freight, damage must also be noted on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery as described above. Claims reported outside these windows may be denied by the carrier and cannot be honored.
Lost shipments. If tracking shows no movement for seven (7) business days, or the carrier has marked the shipment as delivered but you have not received it, contact our parts department. We will open a trace with the carrier. Trace results typically take 5 to 10 business days. We cannot issue a replacement or refund until the carrier completes the trace.
Refused and undeliverable shipments. Shipments refused at delivery, returned as undeliverable due to an incorrect address, or unclaimed after carrier attempts are treated as customer-initiated returns. The original outbound shipping, the return shipping charged by the carrier, and a restocking fee of up to twenty percent (20%) will be deducted from any refund.
Holiday and weather delays. Carrier-published transit times exclude weekends and federal holidays and do not reflect severe weather, natural disasters, labor actions, or other events beyond the carrier's control. We pass shipments to the carrier on time but cannot guarantee delivery against these events.
Order cancellations and address changes before shipment. Orders may be cancelled or modified at no charge before the shipping label is printed. After the label is printed, cancellation requires an intercept at the carrier's cost, and changes may not be possible.
